Looks like I made an oopsie. Our soccer team is actually the Rumballs, rather than Rumbles. Lots more character and far more tasty. I've been convinced that Alison's family recipe produces the best Rum Balls in the southern hemisphere. Apparently it's the secret is Weetabix for texture.
Anyways, today's game was against the DICIMM Dodgers who were considerably more challenging than last week's team. Thankfully we managed to hold them to 0-0 for the first half and scored a late goal in the second to take home another win.
Rather annoyed with myself though as I somehow managed to pull my quad in the first five minutes of play. I was relegated to limping around the pitch trying to look useful for the rest of the match. Ah well, here's to hoping I manage to play less like a geriatric spasmoid next week.
On Friday we headed up to Toowoomba to sample potential menu items for the wedding June. I've been warned that any wedding details leaked by careless blog posts will be result in grievous bodily harm imparted on said blogger. With that in mind, I'll just say that we don't think anyone's going to be disappointed at the reception dinner. :)

Let's get ready to rumble!
Shocking as this may be to some, we were invited to play social soccer at Indooroopilly along with some friends. Sports and us don't exactly mix so we figured if they (Krit and Charlie) asked us to come along then they weren't all too serious about winning. Our team, THE RUMBLES, will be dressed in smashing yellow and after today are well on our way to a glorious victory.
We played our first game today against the Footsies and came away with a remarkable 3-0 victory. No goals scored by yours truly unfortunately but we were told with no obvious trace of sarcasm that we "played well".
Must say that I was absolutely buggered after running around for about half the game. Like bent over forward and breathing like a broken vacuum cleaner buggered. I'd like to use the scorching 34 degree day as some justification of my lack of stamina if I may. Hopefully next week will be a little cooler.
