Eeek, turns out the regulator for the air conditioner had shorted out in the car so it had to be replaced. There goes $175 bucks which could have gone towards my "MP3 player for Christmas" fund. Thinking about either Microsoft's new
Zune or being boring and forking out for an 80GB
iPod. Choices choices.

Not that it would really affect a person of your calibre, but it goes to show their poor design intellect.
From what I'd read you can still play unprotected media on it so I don't really see the problem. What I didn't like however is the lack of DivX or Xvid support in either of the players.
Now I'm even considering the Zen Vision due to it's wide support for media formats and CF card slot. At least with this I can use it to store pictures on long trips with my camera. Shame about the dated interface and large footprint though.
