Connected!

Hurray! We have Internet again! Looks like settling into the new place didn't take as long as we envisioned. Pretty much got everything put aside and set up by mid last week. Telstra connected our phone line on Friday and iiNet have obviously already processed our ADSL application. So far so good.

Must admit there have been a few hiccups along the way though. Settlement didn't go nearly as smoothly as we would have liked thanks to the vendor's retarded solicitor. Bugger failed to fax through confirmation of settlement so the real estate agent couldn't give us our keys. They actually had to call the vendor who was in Spain at the time to get verbal approval. Common sense prevailed in the end thankfully.



Moving all our stuff across in three days was pretty challenging too. Lots of driving to and fro, dumping heaps of junk on the floor to be sorted later.



Fish made it safely even though I almost killed my back carrying the tank over with the fish inside. That's the price we pay for being too lazy to transport them individually. Thankfully there were no casualties



And then there's our problem with lack of cupboard space...



Thankfully most of the mess has been tidied up and we've made arrangements for blinds and a pantry to be installed in the coming weeks. I haven't had a chance to take some pictures of the place with our stuff in it but I will this long weekend. Both of us are very happy in our new home. :)
